When Prapat Jiwarangsan went to Yokohama, Japan, he met a Thai migrant worker "Nid" who once was a "mama-san" in the city. Both went to a place Nid used to work, which has now been transformed into an art district. Yet, what outlives these buildings are trees and flowers surrounding the area as if they are symbols of past-present connection.

This time Prapat brings to Gallery Seescape his photography and video works that have been developed when he participated in artist residency programs at Koganecho Bazaar (2016) and the Tokyo Arts and Space (2017).

We would like to invite you to our opening night and enjoy his artwork with us on this coming 3rd November 2018.

เมื่อประพัทธ์ จิวะรังสรรค์ได้พบและพูดคุยกับหญิงไทยที่ชื่อ "นิด" เธอย้ายถิ่นฐานมาทำงานที่เมืองโยโกฮาม่า ประเทศญี่ปุ่นในฐานะ "มาม่าซัง" ทั้งสองเดินทางไปยังสถานที่ที่นิดเคยทำงานซึ่งแม้ปัจจุบันกลายเป็นพื้นที่ศิลปะ แต่สิ่งที่ดำรงอยู่จากตอนนั้นมาจนถึงตอนนี้ยังคงเป็นต้นไม้ดอกไม้บริเวณรอบ ๆ อันเป็นเหมือนสัญลักษณ์ที่เชื่อมอดีตและปัจจุบันไว้ด้วยกัน 

ครั้งนี้ประพัทธ์นำงานภาพถ่ายและวีดิโที่ถูกพัฒนาขึ้นจากการเข้าร่วมโปรแกรมศิลปินในพำนักที่ Koganecho Bazaar ปี 2016 และ Tokyo Arts and Space ปี 2017 มาที่เชียงใหม่ให้เราชมที่ Gallery Seescape
