ในการแสดงการบรรยายที่ไม่เหมือนใครนี้ มณฑาทิพย์ สุขโสภา ผู้เชิดหุ่นเงาร่วมสมัยจากเชียงใหม่ จะสะท้อนเรื่องราวการเดินทางด้านศิลปะของเธอ เธอจะแบ่งปันภาพ ความทรงจำ และเรื่องราวจากอาชีพของเธอโดยใช้หุ่นกระบอกตัวเก่าและใหม่ ไฟที่ประดิษฐ์ขึ้นเอง และสิ่งของมากมายที่เก็บในสตูดิโอของเธอ ด้วยการเปิดบ้านและพื้นที่ทำงานของเธอ ทิพย์จะเชิญผู้ชมให้ข้ามจากโลกทางกายภาพไปสู่โลกแห่งเงาและวิญญาณ

มณฑาทิพย์ สุขโสภา (ทิพย์) เป็นผู้ก่อตั้ง Wandering Moon Performing Group และทำงานเป็นนักแสดง, ผู้กำกับและอาจารย์ในโรงละครหุ่นเงา ในฐานะ Wandering Moon (ก่อตั้งเมื่อปี 1999) เธอได้เดินทางไปแสดงทั่วเอเชียและเข้าร่วมโครงการเรสซิเด้นซี่ในสหรัฐอเมริกา ออสเตรเลีย มาเลเซีย บังคลาเทศ เยอรมนี และออสเตรีย ทิพย์ได้ช่วยพัฒนาและอำนวยความสะดวกในโครงการพัฒนาชุมชนและวัฒนธรรมหลายแห่ง ทั้งในโรงพยาบาล ค่ายผู้ลี้ภัยในชายแดน โครงการในชุมชนเพื่อการฟื้นฟูและป้องกันภัยพิบัติทางธรรมชาติ สิทธิเด็กชนกลุ่มน้อย รวมถึงประเด็นเกี่ยวกับเพศตามภูมิภาคแม่น้ำโขง โครงการล่าสุดนั้นรวมถึงโครงการนำร่องเพื่อสร้างความตระหนักถึงการทารุณกรรมเด็กและการแสดงหุ่นกระบอกเพื่อสร้างความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับการใช้ชีวิตในป่าให้กับเด็ก ๆ ที่ศูนย์ศึกษาธรรมชาติดอยสุเทพ เธอยังแปลงเทพศิริแกลเลอรี่ซึ่งเป็นของครอบครัวของเธอให้กลายเป็นพิพิธภัณฑ์ศิลปะเทพศิริซึ่งเป็นพื้นที่ทางเลือกสำหรับศิลปินรุ่นใหม่ในเชียงใหม่

[Lecture performance]
Shadow World
by Monthatip Suksopha

In this unique lecture-performance, Chiang Mai-based contemporary shadow puppeteer Monthatip Suksopha will reflect on her personal artistic journey. She will share fragments of images, memories and stories from across her long career – employing old and new puppets, DIY lights, and a plethora of objects stored and archived in her studio. By opening up her home and workspace, Tip invites the audience to cross over from the physical world to a shadow world of energy and spirit.

Monthatip Suksopha (Tip) is the founder of the Wandering Moon Performing Group, and has worked as an actress, director, and lecturer in shadow puppet theatre. With Wandering Moon (founded 1999), she has performed widely across Asia and participated in residencies in the United States, Australia, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Germany, and Austria. Tip has also developed and facilitated many communities and cultural development programs – in hospitals, with refugees in border camps, in community projects for natural disaster recovery and prevention, minority children’s rights, as well as work on gender issues which toured the Mekong region. Recent projects include a pilot program to raise awareness about child abuse, and a puppet showcase to create understanding about living with the forest for children at the Doi Suthep Natural Centre. She is also converting Dhepsiri Gallery - which belongs to her family - into the Dhepsiri Art Museum, an open alternative space for young performing artists in Chiang Mai.
