Lyla gallery proudly brings together cross generational transnational border breaking international artists. The gallery is situated in Chiang Mai but this does not locate the galleries ambitious projects. Having a strong curatorial focus from within and outside of Asia. Within its humble location in Thailand Lyla gallery seeks to represent and present the best of Thai and international art. The gallery roster includes international renowned artists Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Araya Rasdjarmrearnsook, the late Montien Boonma, Mit Jai Inn, Arin Rungjang. In addition, Lyla Gallery also works to discover and promote young talented artists such as Piyarat Piyapongwiwat, Paphonsak La-or, Arjinjonathan Arjinkit etc.
Lyla Gallery is a newly established gallery located on the second floor of 60-year-old building on Tha Phae Road, the prime location of Chiang Mai city. Lyla Gallery is focusses in contemporary art, with an aim to support and promote both established and emerging Thai artists in all media. Exhibitions are curated or organized by Lyla Phimanrat, a founder and director of the gallery.
