Lves and works in Chiang Mai. His practice centres on experimentation with vibrations that are derived from humans and other living organisms, and objects, and exploring their interaction in the environment and society. Nongyao is also concerned with the modes of listening/hearing in a social situation, and with how people interact with and participate in sound. His works are thus often site specific or public spaces and involve audience participation.
Nongyao is Co-Director of the CMC (Chiang Mai Collective) with Thatchatham Silsupan, a group of sound artists and musician working on sound art and experimental music. He has presented works widely at various exhibitions and festival locally and internationally, including the Asia Meeting Festival 2017 (Japan), AVATAR’s Bangkok-Quebec Exchange Program (Canada), and the Media Art Biennale WRO (Poland).
